The Baby in Yellow doesn’t seem like much at first. It throws you into a basic-looking apartment and hands you a baby to take care of. Simple, right? Not quite. It’s part babysitting, part horror, with most of the tension coming from the fact that this baby is absolutely not normal. One second you’re feeding him milk, the next, he’s teleporting across rooms and staring you down like he knows too much.

The graphics are simple but effective. It’s not aiming for realism—it’s closer to something you’d expect from a solo developer or a small team. But what it lacks in polish, it makes up for in atmosphere. The lighting, sound design, and occasional jump scares are more than enough to keep you on edge. The game doesn’t try to explain everything, and that’s what makes it work. You’re just there to do your job, and slowly things spiral out.

There’s no big map or multiple levels. It all happens in a few rooms, and yet it feels like it changes each night. The baby’s behavior gets stranger as the game progresses. He floats. He disappears. His eyes glow. Sometimes he just sits there, completely still, and that somehow feels worse. You’re always waiting for something to go wrong.

Controls are very straightforward—just point, click, and carry out your tasks. Most of the game involves picking things up, placing the baby in different locations, and reading odd little notes or books that slowly piece together something deeper. It’s short, but you’ll probably want to replay it just to catch all the weird moments you missed.

If you like spooky games that don’t rely on loud sounds or gory graphics, this one’s a solid pick. It gets under your skin without being too obvious about it.

How to Play?

Step 1: Download and install The Baby In Yellow from your chosen platform. It’s available on mobile and PC, so pick whatever works best. Once installed, open the game and tap “Start.” There’s no account setup—just straight into the action.

Step 2: You’ll find yourself in a small apartment with the baby nearby. Your task is simple: follow the prompts. It might say “Feed the baby” or “Put the baby to bed.” Just follow instructions using your mouse (on PC) or tapping (on mobile).

Step 3: Pick up objects by clicking on them or holding your finger down. You can carry the baby, grab bottles, open doors, and more. Objects you need usually glow slightly or are mentioned in the taskbar at the top of the screen.

Step 4: Don’t ignore the environment. There are books to read and items that seem out of place. These often hint at the deeper story. Some things only happen if you interact with them, so don’t just do the tasks and leave.

Step 5: Each night, the tasks repeat but with a twist. The baby starts doing strange things. Doors lock behind you. Lights flicker. Just keep going—you can’t “lose” in the traditional sense, but the tension will keep climbing.

Step 6: Finish all tasks each night to progress to the next one. The game usually autosaves after each major event, so you won’t lose your spot if you quit midway.
